General Information for Fall 2011

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Grand Valley State University is a inter-denominational student organization. This website is a place to learn about InterVarsity at Grand Valley. OUR PURPOSE:

In response to God's love, grace and truth:

The Purpose of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is
to establish and advance at colleges and universities
witnessing communities of students and faculty
who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord:
growing in love for God,
God's Word,
God's people of every ethnicity and culture
and God's purposes in the world.

At Grand Valley, there are many ways to be a part of this mission! We offer:



  • Small Group Bible Study Communities: Starting back up Fall 2011, we are offering 9 different small groups for Artists, Freshmen (several throughout campus), Men, Women, Honor's students, and South Campus


  • Weekly Worship Gatherings: Thursday nights at 9:00pm, Pere Marquette Room Upstairs Kirkhof)

  • Training Conferences: Compelling-State wide IV conference at MSU from Nov. 11-13, Ministering Across Cultures Training (a two-weekend training in Jan./Feb.), Chapter Focus Week (a week-long training the week after Spring Finals)


  • Prayer gatherings: Join us to pray for our campus, our InterVarsity community, and our world.


  • Opportunities to Reach the Campus with the Love of Christ

  • Leadership Development
SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDIES
We're studying Romans this year and we have 9 different small groups throughout campus.
